The Hero’s Journey

The Inner Route To Personal Transformation

The Hero’s Journey is the journey each of us must take if we are to follow our own path in life. It is also the unfolding of our personal, psychological and spiritual development and the route to achieving self-understanding and self-realisation. The heroic journey is a metaphor for our search to repair or restore what has been lost in our lives. It also structures the key stages involved in personal change and progression where we leave behind the familiar and enter into unknown territory. Based on the work of Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell, the stages of the Hero’s Journey will be made relevant to the stages of your own life in order to open up the metaphorical and archetypical messages about how to live a meaningful life under any circumstances. Film, as modern day myth, will be used to illustrate the key stages.
